Recently, Phoenix Pro Scooters rider Jon Reyes had a nasty fall when landing a backflip that resulted in a torn ACL. He's going to need knee surgery to heal properly, but he's uninsured and the surgery is about $20,000. To try to help him out, Jon's sponsors, Phoenix and Spokesman Cycles, are donating the full proceeds of 100 of Jon's signature Reventons at $200 plus free shipping from Spokesman.

If you're in the Northern California area, specifically Rocklin, be sure to check out the Epic Indoor Skatepark 2013 Spring Scoot Comp Street Jam & Best Trick going down on Saturday, March 23rd for Beginner and Intermediate riders and on Sunday, March 24th for Pro riders. Just a short drive from Sacramento, the park is a great facility with some very cool obstacles and although the spectator area isn't stellar, they usually let viewers out on to the course around the area where riders are currently competing. They have a nice on-site shop with scooter parts too. The list of sponsors for this event is HUGE, so you know the prize pool is going to be fantastic.

Hey East Coaters! On Februrary 23rd, the Dead Of Winter Scooter Jam 2013 is going down in Philadelphia, PA at the Black Diamond Skate Park, sponsored by Inward Scooters and Barking Spyder Board Shop. The event has tons of sponsors, so there should e a lot of prizes for each division, which include Under 12 Beginner, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced/Pro, and Best Trick (for Intermediate, Advanced/Pro only)

If you'll be in the Lufkin, Texas area on Saturday, February 23rd, be sure to check out the Shred the South Scooter Jam at Dave's Skate Park, presented by Inward Scooters! For our friends over in the UK, there's a really interesting scooter camp happening from February 18th to the 22nd at Camp Rubicon. I checked out the website and it looks pretty cool!
