Answer:

If you currently have IHC with an IHC fork, standard diameter bars, and a standard diameter clamp, to convert that to HIC, you need to replace the fork, the bars, and the clamp. IHC is like baby HIC, which uses a standard threadless fork (not a tapered IHC fork), oversized bars, and an oversized clamp.

Ask ScooterDad: I had a 115 complete sacrifice and brought a max peters deck it all fits fine but i want new bars what do i need i have ihc compression but what type of bars work and what would i need to make it work

Answer:

IHC requires an IHC work (tapered fork) with an IHC shim (included with the IHC fork) and standard diameter bars with a slit cut in them. You'll also need a standard diameter clamp (not SCS) to hold the bars on to the IHC fork.

Ask ScooterDad: If i get envy thermal bars with a slit cut in them will they fit ihc fasen raven forks?

Answer:

Yes, that should work. Thermal bars are standard diameter and IHC forks will work with standard diameter bars with a slit.

Ask ScooterDad: If i want to ride envy reapers would they fit HIC if they had a slit?

Answer:

Reaper bars will not work with HIC because they are not oversized internally. They will work with SCS (fullsize, not baby), IHC, or ICS.

Ask ScooterDad: can you use scs on ihc forks

Answer:

Technically, you might be able to make an SCS system work over the top of an IHC fork with IHC shim, but I really don't recommend it. You're just going to create too many points of dynamic contact (parts that can move).

Ask ScooterDad: Hi, I have an ethic artifact deck with the envy prodigy 2013 fork in it (Not sure what it's called), and I'm planing on buying a proto or tilt SCS but I'm not sure if my fork will work with SCS. Could you explain what I need to run SCS?

Answer:

I believe that year's Envy Prodigy came with an IHC fork, so you couldn't use it with SCS. You would need a standard threadless fork, not an ICS or IHC fork, in order to use SCS.
