Cootercon 2012 Competition - Saturday, April 28th at Windells in Sandy, OR

See you at Cootercon on Saturday, April 28th. Check out for more information!

If you haven't heard yet, Cootercon 2012 is going to be at Windells in Sandy, OR on Saturday, April 28th. Jimmy Lewis from Scoot & Destroy and Mothership Distribution always puts on a great comp, so I'm sure this year won't be any exception.

If you've never been to Windells before, be sure to check out their website and look for some videos featuring Windells on YouTube. It's primarily a snowboard and ski camp that uses nearby Mt. Hood for training, but they also have a great skatepark facility, dirt jumps, a dry snowboard rail-jam course, and they are working on a big-air launch ramp. They have a fantastic outdoor concrete park and a great indoor park with a foam pit where pretty much every kid in Oregon and Washington learned backflips.

The cash prize purse is said to exceed $6,000 with the top 10 pros and top 5 amateur riders receiving cash prize payouts. Entry fees are as follows:

  • $30 for 12 & Under Beginner
  • $30 for 13 & Over Beginner
  • $40 for Advanced (Amateur/Intermediate)
  • $50 for Pro.

In addition to the usual competition activities, there will be vendor booths as part of a Trade Show at the event. A full list of participants can be found on the Cootercon Trade Show page and we will have a booth to sell our Scoot Loot and promote, so stop by and say hi. Many of our friends will be there as well, including One10 Clothing.

This is the biggest scooter competition in the Pacific Northwest, so come out and support the sport! You won't want to miss out at this world-class event for Windells' first ever scooter competition!

By the way, parking and spectating space may be limited, so get to the park early and don't forget to pre-register. Also, if you're a sponsored rider and your sponsor is paying for you registration, pre-register and then skip the payment process. Everyone else must complete the payment process in order to pre-register.
